Times to wake up?

On Friday a day after the averted airplane attacks, Gerard Baker of the British Times wrote an opinion piece The first step towards defeating the terrorists: stop blaming ourselves, that suggests that some elements of the Times actually have their eyes quite open and cleared of sand. Gerard Baker, suggest that it is time that we realize that the attacks are not a response to something that we're doing, they are not a response to the wars in the Middle-East, they are not a response to the politics of Bush or Blair... They are carried out by muslims who yearns for a muslim dominated world and by diverting our attention to other explanations we're missing the point and even worse we're unable to lock onto the real threat and come up with ways of stopping the threat.
